OrthoSpine and Pain - Continuing Education Information by State

Each state has their own guidelines for continuing education credit for Home Studies. In some states the Physical Therapy Board or state APTA chapter is responsible for approving courses, and in some states no approval is required for Home Studies.

OrthoSpineandPain continually reviews state requirements as it pertains to CEU approval. The list below is based on an extensive search of State PT Chapters. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure the CEUs are accepted for home studies.

Many State PT Chapters will approve a home study if it has been approved by another State Chapter. OrthoSpineandPain approves its home studies through the Kansas Physical Therapy Association, which makes them eligible for CEUs in many states (see below).

Some states do not require pre-approval. All they require is a copy of the course description, layout, certificate and author bio – all of which are included in the home study you order.
